US Campaign manager, 350.org (2018-Present)

  • Project managed the September 20, 2019 US Climate Strikes, culminating in the largest day of multi-racial, intergenerational climate protest in world history

  • Formed and led the adult coalition for the US Climate Strikes through centering non-traditional and justice-focused allies

  • Managed an annual budget of $450,000

  • Supervised and managed 350.org’s Fossil Free and Fossil Free New York team to successfully pass a NYC Green New Deal, delay (and hopefully) halt the construction of the Williams pipeline

  • Initiated a restructure of 350.org’s organizing team into a National Distributed Field team to better serve our existing local groups and scale our impact                           

Campaign director, Climatetruth.org (2013-2017)

  • Managed the staff of ClimateTruth.org and ClimateTruth.org Action to achieve success via disciplined structures and cultivation of a culture in which staff thrive.

  • Created the No Fossil Fuel Money pledge and built the partner coalition

  • Developed innovative campaigns, strategies, and tactics to progress the national conversation on climate action. For example the presidential primaries Climate Voices campaign that resulted in 3 climate-oriented questions being asked at presidential primary debates and the recruitment of volunteer storytellers.

  • Executed many successful national campaigns to mobilize ClimateTruth.org’s membership and broad coalitions to act on pivotal issues like preventing the Koch brothers from purchasing the Tribune Company newspapers and corporations ending their sponsorship of ALEC.

  • Supervised campaign managers to craft and execute campaigns, held them accountable to meeting their goals, and provided leadership development guidance to advance their skillsets.

  • Consulted and helped develop grant proposals for c4 work to bring in over $150,000 of c4 funds.

National FIeld Campaigner & Lead Organizer, Moveon.org (2009-2012)

  • Ran MoveOn’s online MegaPhone Leader calling program that accounted for 80% of the total online calls made for the 2012 election cycle.

  • Executed multiple national campaigns to mobilize the entire MoveOn Council membership to action on key issues like calling on President Obama to investigate Wall Street banks.

  • Organized online and offline efforts in key progressive races: Wisconsin’s Governor’s race, Illinois’ 10th district, New Mexico’s 1st district, Nevada’s 1st State Senate District, and Oregon’s 48th State Legislative District.

  • Supervised National Field Organizers to craft election plans for their turf, held them accountable to meeting their goals, and worked with allies to magnify our efforts.

  • Managed a large network of volunteers in the states of CO, ID, MT, OR, WA, and WY to take actions in their local community on a bi-monthly basis while simultaneously developing their skills as local organizers.

  • Led national, regional, and statewide leadership trainings. Employed online tools to build the capacity of our volunteer leadership.
