About me
I grew up in Charleston, West Virginia where the wealth disparity between “the haves” and “have-nots” was evident with every drive I took through the lush, green hills and every walk down my high school’s hallways. Both the coal and chemical industry ravaged my broader community. Motivated by profits, these industries took from the pristine land, gave to the few – leaving polluted air, dangerous water, and scarred land for the many. Due to this experience and the moral clarity instilled in me from a handful of inspiring teachers, I pursued a career in progressive and environmental organizing working with some of the world’s top progressive and climate organizations.
